DB Makati Stages Regional Robolution NCR Tilt

Several students from 23 schools across Luzon gathered at Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati on November 21–22, 2025 for the NCR Regional Robotics and Automation Competition, widely recognized as Robolution 2025. The two-day event brought together young innovators to compete, collaborate, and demonstrate their skills in robotics, automation, and programming.
The competition featured a wide array of categories, each designed to challenge participants’ technical knowledge and creativity. Highlights included the Quiz Bee, where students answered complex robotics-related questions, and hands-on robotics contests such as ERobot Line Following V1, V2, and V3, ERobot Mobile Controlled V1 and V2, EMegaSumo V1 and V3, Erovouthon, EroMath, and the Freestyle Competition. The robots were evaluated on speed, accuracy, and programming efficiency, with the Freestyle division particularly encouraging innovative and advanced designs, allowing teams to showcase creativity beyond standard requirements.
The event also featured interactive exhibits and booths from partner institutions, including Murata, Splash Island, Women in Tech Philippines, and Ubix Corporation.

It gives the participants and attendees opportunities to explore the latest in robotics technology, engineering solutions, and STEM-related programs.
Through determination, teamwork, and meticulous preparation, the top-performing schools distinguished themselves among a field of strong contenders. The competition not only tested technical skill but also highlighted problem-solving, strategic thinking, and collaboration among participants.
Reflecting the excitement of the event, Mr. Marj Leumel Aranjuez of Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) said, “It was a great experience, especially since it was my first time. I feel privileged to have been part of it.”
The final results crowned Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati as the Overall Champion, with MAAP as the 1st Runner-Up, and Pasay City National Science High School taking the 2nd Runner-Up spot.

Following the NCR Regional event, Don Bosco Makati went on to host the 4th National/International Robolution and Minoan Robotsports Competition (MRC) from December 5–7, 2025, further cementing its position as a hub for robotics excellence in the Philippines.

This year’s Robolution not only celebrated technical skill and innovation but also fostered collaboration, creativity, and leadership among young engineers—the next generation of robotics experts shaping the future of technology in the country.
