Team PH's Sibling Duo Bags Multiple Awards in the Fibonacci International Robot and Math Olympiad Competition in Antalya, Turkey

Twin Triumph. Manila sisters proudly receive medals and certificates after securing multiple awards at the Fibonacci International Robotics and Mathematics Olympiad in Antalya, Turkey.

Louise Viviene P. Manila, a Grade 6 student, and her sister Lana Venice P. Manila, a Grade 8 student, currently enrolled in the Robotics and Mathematics Program of Erovoutika International Academy, and from FAITH Catholic School, stood out among over 2,000 participants from 18 countries after bringing home multiple awards in the recently concluded Fibonacci EuroAsia Robot Olympiad and the Fibonacci International Mathematics Olympiad, held on April 16 to 24, 2025, in Antalya, Turkey.

At the Fibonacci EuroAsia Robot Olympiad, from April 16-20, 2025, under the mentorship of Erovoutika coaches, Louise Viviene placed 3rd in the Drone Rally Competition. The duo also secured three more awards, including the Jury Award for Autonomous Drone Programming and Fast Line Following, and a Special Jury Award for the Mini Sumobot.

Adding to the family's streak of excellence, Lana Venice also competed in the Fibonacci International Mathematics Olympiad from April 20 to 24 under the guidance of the Erovoutika team. Among over 200 participants, she earned 3rd Place under Category 3 (Grades 7-8).

Their achievements qualified them to participate in the Education and Exchange Program in Italy and Turkey and to represent the Philippines at the Fibonacci International Robot Olympiad Global Finals, set to be held in Italy in November, bringing together the world's best in robotics, innovation, and engineering.

The sisters were trained by Erovoutika Robotics and Automation Solutions coaches, Engr. James Ryan Justo and Engr. Jeramel Marie Liona, a leading provider of robotics and automation solutions dedicated to nurturing future innovators in robotics and STEM education and engineering.

“They proved that dedication and unity can turn challenges into multiple victories on the global robotics stage.”

Lana shared that she first became interested in robotics during the pandemic as they were looking for meaningful activities to do indoors. "With parents working in the IT industry, we grew up surrounded by technology, which naturally sparked our curiosity and inspired our growing interest in technology," she added.

She also added that they chose Erovoutika as their training school, as the instructor focuses solely on each learner's need, specifically from basic to advanced. Through the lessons she gained from the academy, she entered competitions nationally and internationally.

Vienne shared that "Competing in Turkey alongside my sister was a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Being able to share both the challenges and the triumphs with my Ate made the journey even more meaningful. The excitement of competing at Fibonacci thrilled me, as I eagerly anticipated what would happen next—regardless of the final results."

"I would like to share to the children that robotics is not only just building and making robots, it's about letting a small piece of imagination run through you to create the impossible. It's that tiny spark of excitement that keeps you going on and on until you reach what your mind desires," Vienne concluded.

Manila sisters encourage young learners to explore robotics with curiosity, try new things, and think outside the box. They remind kids to stay curious, keep learning, and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow. By believing in their own abilities, children can build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and create innovative solutions that address real-world problems—proving that with passion, persistence, and creativity, they can turn ideas into meaningful inventions.
